        National Night Out  Against Crime

      Crievewood United Methodist Church

 

            Food.....Inflatables for the kids.....Live Music

                     Displays....Vendors.....snow cones

           Fire Truck...Police Car-...Mounted Police...and more.

                         

                              Fingerprinting for children.

We will have a representative from ADS to fingerprint children. The representative provides a free kit to the family - conducting the fingerprinting to make sure it is completed correctly, then the fingerprint card and the kit are given to the parents for safe keeping.  No information about the child is retained.  If you have not yet done this, it would be a great opportunity.

                                     Help Needed

 Every year a handful of volunteers do all the work to make this Neighborhood event a success. Often they work through the entire event and don't get a chance to enjoy it themselves. This year we are asking for volunteers who would would be willing to help out for a short time so that everyone gets a chance to enjoy the event. Send a message on this website....go to the "Contact Us"  tab on this page. Leave a message that you are willing to help..thanks.

 Busy Spring

It has been a busy spring.  All of our events have been well attended.

Thanks to all of our neighbors who support the activities.

 

May 7, 14, 21, 28 CERT Community Emergency Response Training

  Congratulations to the graduates of the Community Emergency Response Training 16 hours of CERT classes that concluded Thursday night May 28.  David Vigerust, Jeri Suedekum, Fred Brooks, Pete Prosser, Walt Chandler

 

May 9th Neighborhood Clean-up

40 neighbors brought almost 60  loads of junk filling two industrial sized dumpsters.

April 21st -"Surviving The Storm"- Channel 4

Informative Life Saving presentation almost 600 in attendance

Great event for the little ones- a good time was had by all.

 April 2 Members Meeting Report

   We want to thank everyone who came out to the  CHNA Spring Members Meeting.  We especially want to thank the Crievewood Baptist Church for allowing us the use of the new fellowship hall, it is a beautiful facility.

We also want to thank Sgt Stephens and Sgt Tower of the NPD and Gerrit Brusse

of ADS alarm services and our neighbor Greg Fuson as guest speakers.

 We want to thank all those who have signed up to form a Watch Group with their close neighbors, you are helping to make a difference. Thank You.

Additional prizes given at the meeting included a dinner for 4 at Johnny Boys on Trousdale and a comprehensive oil change at Emmets Citgo.

2009 Crieve Hall Activities

2009 looks like  another active year ahead for your Neighborhood Association and another pleasant year to live in Crieve Hall.

 

Here are some upcoming activities to look forward to and start planning for.

 

April 2 -CHNA Membership Meeting and Grand Prize Drawing

                      Crievewood Baptist Church 7-8:30 pm

April 4- Ladies Brunch-Crievewood Baptist Church.

April 11 - Easter Egg Hunt-Crieve Hall School.

April 21 -Channel 4 Disaster Education "Surviving the Storm"

April 25- Crieve Hall Tour of Homes

May 2 -Yard Sale -Neighborhood Wide

May 7 - CERT training starts 6-10pm

May-9 -Neighborhood clean-up  dumpsters at Crievewood Baptist 

June 13- Ladies Brunch

August 4- National Night Out Against Crime-Neighborhood Party

Don't forget the Social Committee has the popular Ladies Brunch that will be held on quarterly-dates to be announced.

Monthly activities and special activities include Mom's Group, BUNCO and Plant Exchange 

 

The CERT team will be providing disaster preparation training and safety training through the CERT training program and the Neighborhood Watch program.

Our neighbors are using the website more often now and are getting more familiar with 

how to use the interactive function of the FORUM to alert and inform other neighbors. If you haven't already, then take a look

and see how easy it is to use.  No advertising please !!

 

 Crieve Hall is a special place. We want to thank every member and every volunteer who helped last year with their time and resources. 

We hope that you can see the value in our Neighborhood Association and continue to help us promote this special place.
