Ladies Brunch

A great way to meet your neighbors and make

new friends!

The Ladies Brunch is held 3-4 times per year at different locations throughout our neighborhood. Our most popular brunch is in the spring at Sue Bean’s home on Briarwood. Her backyard is filled with large trees, beautiful flowers and a stream that connects to the Ellington Agricultural Center.

The Cares Committee sets the dates, theme and location for each brunch and also lines up exciting area speakers.

Here are some of the speakers and their topics:

Travellers Rest – history Crieve Hall from before the Indians to present time

Judy Fisher – antique and vintage Christmas ornament collector

Jerry Pradines – landscaper

This is a really great way to meet your fellow neighbors – or catch up with those you haven’t seen in awhile. Brooke Vigerust was so impressed when she went to the 2007 spring brunch that she immediately signed up for the   Committee!

…(and I’ve loved being on this committee and all

the friends I’ve made! – Brooke)

Bunco!

This has proven to be a favorite of all the members.

Don’t know how to play? Don’t let that stop you! Neither did any of the players when they first started – and we always have a great time – with lots and lots of laughter.Players switch homes and the hostess provides snacks, beverages and prizes for the winner and the loser!

Bunco night: Second Thursday of each month at

different homes.

Mom’s Group

A play group for moms and little ones too!

If you’ve got little ones at home and you just need some time with some adults – while your children play – this may be the group for you!

This group has really been a positive addition to our neighborhood and we’ve seen a few of the “moms” at the Bunco parties – they joined not knowing anyone but have made some great friendships.

Play dates: Wednesday afternoons at different homes
